  "Subject": "Unemployment status and rate are important indicators of socio-economic status, which in turn affects the vulnerability of the individual or population to climate-related hazards such as heatwaves or flooding. People of lower socio-economic stauts are more likely to be living in areas exposed to urban heat island or flooding, occupy poor-quality housing or have poor health. They are also less likely to equip their dwellings with proporty-level overheating or flood-resilience measures compared to wealthier people and may be affected more by increase in prices of water or energy. Therefore, the unemployment rate should be considered as a factor affecting vulnerability of the population in adaptation planning.",
